I have just added a new gallery to my blog, Transport In Sri Lanka.

I have added a book list to my blog. I'll restrict the books included in the list to ones specifically about Sri Lanka and obviously only ones I'd recommend.

I've added 3 more categories, Sri Lanka - Eating Out, Sri Lanka - Places To Visit and Personal. This should make it easier for people find the type of entries they are interested in more quickly.

I also went through all my blog entries and updated them all to the correct category.

I have uploaded some pictures taken at Galle, Hikkaduwa and of our apartment.

I thought I'd try out the MSN Spaces feature that allows me to email my blog entries. So if you are reading this it worked!

http://www.csthota.com/blogmap/ is a pretty cool web site that allows you to register your blog along with a geographical location and recieve some code that you can post on your web site to show a graphical image of a map where you are. Sadly the code does not work within MSN Spaces so no map is displayed. You can, however, click on the link and get the map displayed in another browser window.

I did have a bit of trouble registering this blog. For some reason it would not accept my address as being valid and so I had to locate the longtitude and latitude for Colombo and enter those onto the web site. For some reason the web site thought the co-ordinates I entered were for the Dambulla region, some 100 miles to the north-east.

A quick email to the administrator of blogmap resolved the issue within an hour or and he corrected my entry manually for me. See my vbCity blog, http://blogs.vbcity.com/shandy/ for a view of how blogmap should work. (The map is at the bottom left of the screen - you may need to scroll down)

Blogmap also has the ability to display blogs in your local vicinity. I noticed that there were quite a few blogs (around 10) in Colombo registred with Blogmap. They were all being written by IT blokes though ...
